Level 1 Dryland Coach Course, Sydney June 2

A SSA Level 1 Cross Country Skiing Community Coach Dryland module will be held at the Willoughby Leisure Centre in Sydney on Sunday June 2. The course will be delivered by Thomas McMahon, Level 1 XC Coach and Assistant Coach from the 2019 World Junior Championship.

The Level 1 XC Community Coaching courses are designed for coaches, teachers and parents working with athletes at club and Interschool level. This course covers dryland training methods and includes an introduction to ski bounding, rollerskiing and strength training.

General course details are below, pre-registration is necessary and can be made via the SSA website. All participants who are not already members of SSA are required to register for Free Snowracer membership via the Snowracer website. All participants are also required to complete the Sport Australia Community Coaching General Principles.

What: SSAXC Community Coach Level 1 – Dryland Practical module
Where: Willoughby Leisure Centre, Small Street, Willoughby
When: 10:00am to 2:30pm on Sunday June 2
Course Fee: $90. Please login using your Snow ID (or register via Snowracer if you don’t yet have one).

All participants are expected to participate in the physical activities of the session, including the rollerskiing if they have their own equipment. However, the rollerskiing component is not mandatory.
