Selections on this page are made by the Snow Australia Cross Country Skiing Selection Committee, unless otherwise stated.


2021/2022 World Cups


Tour de Ski
Lenzerheide Stages, SUI Dec 28-29

Women – Sprint F, 10km C

Men – Sprint F, 15km C

Comments: Two places were allocated to COC winners (Wright and Bellingham). Two places were preselected on the basis of performances in Davos WC and the Goms OPA Cup (Yeaton and de Campo). The remaining places were selected predominantly based on performances in the St Ulrich OPA Cup, but also in consideration of performances in the Davos WC and the Goms OPA Cup.

Oberstdorf (GER) and Val di Fiemme (ITA) Stages, Dec 31 – Jan 4

To continue in the Tour de Ski, athletes need to meet daily time cut-offs set by FIS and have acheived a top 80% of field result in World Cup this season.


Dresden World Cup, GER, Dec 18-19

Men – Sprint F, Team Sprint F

Comments: Both athletes were selected to this event under clause G 2.1 “negotiated as part of preparation for Beijing 2022“.


Davos World Cup, SUI, Dec 11-12

Men

Comments: Four places were pre-selected, based on current FIS rankings (Yeaton, de Campo) and COC winners (Wright and Bellingham). All other places were selected based on performances in the Sprint F and 10/15km F events at the Goms Opa Cup on December 4-5.


2021 World Championship, Oberstdorf, Germany

A Qualified:
(<120 FIS points women, <90 FIS points men)

B Qualified:
(2 x <140 FIS points women, <120 FIS points men)

Comments: A number of qualified athletes opted not to travel to compete in this event due to the global pandemic.


2020/2021 World Cups

Qualification (targeted events): <120 FIS points, sprint or distance
Qualification (additional starts): <60% of field in WC or Top 30
Alternative starts considered as part of Individual Performance Plans.
Selections are for all events unless otherwise specified.


Engadin, SUI, March 13/14

Comments: Discretionary selections were made for this event for the purpose of improving Olympic quota rankings.


Ulricehamn, SWE, February 6/7

Comments: This event was added as a targeted event following athlete performances in Dresden.


Falun, SWE, January 29-31

Comments: Discretionary selections were made for this event considering event cancellations in central Europe, Olympic quota rankings, and the possiblity to create a 2-week racing bubble for the athletes travelling to Sweden for the Ulricehamn event.


Val Mustair (TDS), SUI, January 1-3

Comments: This event was designated as a targeted WC prior to the season. To qualify for Tour de Ski stages after Val Mustair athletes must achieve results < 75% of field.


Dresden, GER, December 19/20

Comments: This event was designated as a targeted WC prior to the season.


Davos, SUI, December 12/13

Comments: This event was designated as a targeted WC prior to the season.
